TERMINUS VR is a five-part psychedelic Virtual Reality experienced crafted by New Zealand Artists Jess Johnson and Simon Ward.

TERMINUS presents a quest, a choose-your-own adventure into the artists’ mysterious universe. The five realms of Terminus each represent a transformative stage of the viewer’s journey. Cross the threshold in Fleshold Crossing; take respite in Known Unknown; lose yourself within Scumm Engine; face your fears in the tower of Gog & Magog; and experience the brink of sensory overload in the psychedelic Tumblewych. Return to the start of your journey with an understanding that reality is not fixed, but both malleable and multiple.

Jess Johnson, currently based in New York focuses on the concept of world-building, reflecting her interests in sci-fi, language,technology, and concepts of consciousness. Her drawings have documented an increasingly fictional world, feeding into installations and collaborations with animation, music, fashion, Virtual Reality, and textile art.

Simon Ward with expertise in video and animation has collaborated with artists of all kind including musicians, writers, and visual artists. Ward apprecaites the DIY method of utilizing self-taught effects, animation techniques, and creating visual imagery that mixes reality with fantasy.
