D&AD Awards David Oku for The Iconic Playlist & Umbrella Species
We are thrilled to announce that H+ Creative artist David Oku has been honored with prestigious awards from the Design and Art Direction (D&AD) organization. David's exceptional contributions to the projects "The Iconic Playlist" and "Umbrella Species" have earned him accolades that highlight his remarkable talent and creativity.
Design and Art Direction, formerly known as British Design and Art Direction, is a British educational organisation that was created in 1962 to promote excellence in design and advertising. Its main offices are in Spitalfields in London. It is most famous for its annual awards, the D&AD Pencils.
"Umbrella Species," which garnered Wood Pencils in both the 'Digital & Social' and Illustration categories, showcases David's ability to blend digital innovation with compelling visual storytelling. The recognition by D&AD in these categories reflects the project's success in pushing the boundaries of digital art and its effectiveness in communicating powerful messages through illustration.
In addition, "The Iconic Playlist" received Graphite Pencils in the Entertainment, Radio & Audio, and Wood Pencils in Media, and Direct categories, further cementing David's reputation as a versatile and innovative artist.
