David Oku for New York Times

David Oku’s vibrant artwork takes over the New York Times' Sunday Business section, shining a spotlight the world of TikTok with 20 short stories. Covering everything from financial advice (FinToks) and cooking to wild conspiracy theories, each story reflects the platform's varied content. Oku’s cover, with its abstract face and a mix of colorful, densely packed objects and icons, perfectly captures TikTok’s chaotic energy.

The playful design, packed with easter eggs from the stories, highlights how the app has changed our lives, whether through endless scrolling or its cultural impact.
